A useful integration carries the right context from one part of a business process to another. Begin with the user task, the source owners and the decisions the workflow must support.
Map the boundary
Identify the systems involved, permitted data, authentication requirements and ownership. Confirm the APIs and access available in your environment before promising a connection.
Build for a recoverable workflow
Design validation, retries, idempotency, observability and exception handling alongside the happy path. Keep an understandable record of what happened and who owns the next step.
Evaluate AI assistance
Where AI is useful, agree the source boundary, evaluation set and human review. A proposed assistant should not silently become an authority over important business decisions.
